Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
vsocials is a private idea bank used by a youth ministry socials team. This policy explains what information vsocials collects when you sign in with Google, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Google account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We only request the basic email and profile scopes and do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
- Content you add: ideas, links, images, notes, labels, comments, events, drafts and the edit history of ideas.
- Technical information: sign-in session cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request times) kept by our hosting providers.
How we use it
- To sign you in and decide what you can access (pending, view only, contributor or admin).
- To show your name and picture next to the ideas and comments you add, to other team members.
- To store and display the content you add, and fetch preview images for links you save.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone outside the team except the service providers below.
Service providers
vsocials runs on third-party infrastructure that processes data on our behalf:
- Google (sign-in)
- Supabase (authentication and database)
- Cloudflare R2 (image storage)
- Vercel (website hosting)
Google user data
vsocials's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Your account information is kept while you have access to vsocials. Deleted ideas are permanently removed after 30 days, together with their comments, history and event links. To have your account and personal information removed, ask a vsocials administrator. You can also revoke vsocials's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's security settings.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and access is restricted to approved team members using database-level permissions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
vsocials is intended for team members and is not directed at children under 13.
